NorthStar Ledger ("we," "our," or "us") is a personal finance planning tool. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.
When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. All financial data you enter — paychecks, bills, savings goals, debt accounts, and subscriptions — is stored securely and associated only with your account. We do not collect payment card numbers, bank account numbers, or any credentials to external financial institutions.
Your information is used solely to provide and improve the NorthStar Ledger service. We use your email address to identify your account and for account recovery. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Your data is stored on a secured server. Passwords are never stored in plain text — we use industry-standard hashing. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure.
All financial data you enter is yours. You can export your data at any time from within the app. You may also delete your account and all associated data by contacting us at support.
NorthStar Ledger does not connect to or share data with any third-party financial services, banks, or data brokers. The app operates entirely on data you manually enter.
NorthStar Ledger is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
